  Today, Friday, December 20:

  School has Noon dismissal due to midterm exams. No EDP or lunch. All students must be picked up by 12:30 p.m. from campus.

  Next Week's Reminders: 

  School is closed for Christmas Break from Monday, December 23rd through Friday, January 3rd. School resumes on normal schedule on Monday, January 6th. There will also be no Middle School basketball team practices or games during break.

   

  Daily and weekly update communications will pause during the break and resume again on Monday, January 6th. Have a wonderful Christmas and many blessings in the New Year!

  Weekly Study Tips: 

  As Concordia Prep prepares for end-of-year projects, tests, and exams, the School will be sharing daily study tips to support students in their academic success.

  Today's Study Tip:  If you don't understand a question, mark it with an arrow or star or highlight it in some way. However, don't get stuck on that question. Work ahead and do as much as you can on other portions while you wait to ask the teacher a clarifying question.

  Last Call to Order Your 2024 Christmas Ornament!

  It’s time to order your 2024 Concordia Prep School Christmas ornament! The Parent-Teacher League (PTL) has a limited number of ornaments available for sale. Each ornament is $15.00. Order here.

   

  Financial Assistance Application Submissions Due Today!

  Concordia Preparatory School is partnering with FACTS Grant & Aid Assessment for the 2025-2026 school year. All Concordia Prep families must complete an online financial assistance application each year to be eligible for financial assistance consideration and to potentially have current financial awards reapplied for the next school year. Additional information regarding the financial assistance process and requirements are available here.

   

  Concordia Prep Gray Sweatshirts Orders Due This Sunday!

  If you were not able to order a sweatshirt at the beginning of the year, we have opened the store again! Please place any new orders here by Sunday, December 22nd. Once the site has closed, the orders will be processed and should have them delivered in January following Christmas break.

   

  Boathouse Jacket Orders Now Available

  Concordia Prep School boathouse jackets, which are part of the CPS uniform, are now available to purchase online for $121.00 plus shipping and handling. Orders must be received by the end of the day on Friday, January 10th, and will be delivered directly to your homes. Order here.

   

   

  Middle School

   

  Middle School Christmas Celebrations Today!

  Middle School students will celebrate the Christmas season as a community today, Friday, December 20th during the school day. Today will also be a Christmas-themed, relaxed dress day for the Middle School with clothing worn in accordance with dress code policy. Students taking Math exams must be in uniform for the exam, but they can bring Christmas-themed clothes to change into for the party following their exam. 

   

  We are asking students from each grade to bring a specific type of snack/treat to enjoy with their classmates. See below:

  • 8th Grade: Bottled Waters (No Juice) OR Fruits/Veggies
  • 7th Grade: Salty Snack
  • 6th Grade: Sweet Snack

  Please do not send any items with nuts or peanut butter due to potential allergies. Safety measures will be taken to continue to keep our students healthy. Please contact Mr. Miller with any questions.

   

  Join Classmates in the New Year for A Roller Skate Get-Together!

  Concordia Prep Middle School will be hosting a skating get-together on Friday, January 10th from 4:00 - 6:00 p.m. at Skateland (8019 Belair Road, Nottingham, MD 21236) for an evening of skating fun and fellowship with classmates. Tickets are $10.00 per student. Payment should be placed in an envelope, marked with the student's first and last name along with grade, and turned into Mrs. Calheira or Mrs. Miller by Wednesday, January 8th. 

   

  At this time, all students must provide their own transportation to and from the event; however, we are seeking feedback via the form link below regarding interest in the School offering transportation for an additional fee. Middle School families should complete the permission form by Wednesday, January 8th. Please contact Mrs. Calheira with any questions. 

   

   

  Upper School

   

  Last Day of Exams Today!

  Today, Friday, December 20th, is the last day of exams. The School dismisses at 12:00 p.m. (Noon). Please note the schedule and additional information.

   

  Class of 2025 Banners

  Over the last few years, the Parent-Teacher League (PTL) has offered the opportunity for graduating students' families to purchase a senior banner. The banners will be displayed in the school hallways beginning in March to celebrate our graduating class and will be returned home before graduation day. Banners are 32" x 15" and are $30.00 per banner. To place your order, please complete this form and submit payment by Friday, January 24th.

   

  Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) Available for Class of 2025

  FAFSA has officially opened as of December 1st for rising college students and is the gateway to unlocking financial aid for your student’s college education. It determines eligibility for grants, scholarships, work-study opportunities, and federal student loans.
