  • What devices do students use for the school day?

Concordia Prep students should plan to bring their personal computers and tablets that meet our technology requirements to use during the school day with the appropriate teacher permission. In accordance with our Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) policy, students must register their personal device with the Technology Office and receive approval. Once approved, the Technology Office will connect the device to the School’s student wireless network.

A student’s personal device must meet the following requirements:
    • The device must be a laptop or a tablet with a 7” or larger screen size.
    • The device must use a supported operating system that is actively updated by the manufacturer (i.e., Microsoft Windows 11 or MacOS Ventura).
    • The device must have a modern, fully-featured web browser (i.e., Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, or Safari). NOTE: The device must be capable of running the Google Chrome web browser.

Middle School students must keep cell phones in their lockers throughout the day. Upper School students may keep their cell phones with them; however, they are not permitted to use them for any reason in campus buildings during the school day without expressed permission from School faculty and staff. Students needing to speak with their families during the school day should report to the Main Office to ask permission to use the phone.
