Life at Concordia Prep

The leadership overseeing the opening of a new Lutheran school in Towson, MD in 1965, envisioned an outstanding academic institution where students could grow in their faith, grow academically, and grow physically and socially into the confident, servant-leaders that God intended for them to be. Concordia Prep is affiliated with the Lutheran Church Missouri-Synod and welcomes students from all religious backgrounds.

Concordia Prep is in a small, neighborhood and has steadfastly remained a small community that allows students to find their own path. After the bell rings at 2:55 pm, students embark and a number of activities in and out of the classroom. Concordia Prep offers a variety of clubs each year based upon student interest. Clubs meet bi-monthly during the school day and after school. Students are encouraged to suggest new club ideas to the administration.

Concordia Prep offers opportunities for students in the arts, through athletics, and to strengthen their relationship with God through their own faith journey. In March of 2020, Concordia Prep installed Campus Pastor Peter Couser and welcomed a church onto the campus
