New Varsity Boys' Basketball Coach Named

We are excited to announce Coach Detrick Matthews as the next Varsity Boys' Basketball Coach. Coach Matthews brings seven years of coaching experience to Concordia Prep. He is a graduate of Towson University with a B.S. in Sport Management and an MBA from the University of Maryland. He has held coaching positions starting at Edgewood High School where he spent one year as a Varsity Assistant before being promoted to JV Head Coach of Joppatowne High School the next year. Soon after Coach Matthews began coaching AAU basketball for Harford County United on the Under Armour Grassroots circuit. He spent the last two seasons as JV Head Basketball Coach/Varsity Assistant/Recruiter at The John Carroll School. Outside of coaching, Coach Matthews is a member of the Union Church.
