Standardized tests will be administered to students in a digital format next school year.Only Windows laptops, iPads, and Macbooks are compatible devices. Students will be required to install an application on their personal devices for digital testing. Unfortunately, personal Chromebooks cannot be used for digital standardized tests. The school will have a limited number of compatible devices for students to borrow for standardized testing purposes. Please contact Mrs. Amanda Trapani, Director of Technology at amandatrapani@concordiaprepschool.org, if your student may need to borrow a school device.
Before New Student Orientation, please install the Google Chrome web browser on student personal devices.
If your student has a personal Chromebook to use for next school year, please disable all parental controls prior to New Student Orientation. Your student will need to add a new user account, and if the student cannot add the user account due to parental controls or an unknown passcode, the student won't be able to set up and configure the CPS technology accounts successfully.
New students will receive their CPS technology account information, including their school email accounts, at New Student Orientation.
Although Apple iPads are not a recommended personal device, they are acceptable to use during the 2024-2025 school year with a protective case and external keyboard. The CPS Technology Department will reevaluate the acceptable usage of iPads for the 2025-2026 school year and provide more details at a later date.
All students have access to the Microsoft Office 365 productivity suite for free, which includes Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. New students will receive more information at the beginning of the school year on how to install and access the software on their personal devices.
Please contact Mrs. Amanda Trapani, Director of Technology, if you have any questions or concerns about the new recommended BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) student policy at amandatrapani@concordiaprepschool.org.
