Dear Concordia Prep Parents and Guardians,

It is hard to believe that we are rapidly approaching the end of another school year – a very special year in the life of your student because this year marks the end of one educational experience and the beginning of another.

This has been a year of growth in the academic, social, and physical arena.  Most importantly, it has been a year of growing in faith and knowledge of our Lord.  We praise God for His gifts of growth!

In the very near future, we will have the opportunity to affirm the students of the CPS 8th-grade class as they leave the halls of the Concordia Prep Middle School and take the next step in their lives – moving on to the high school experience either by continuing at Concordia Prep or attending elsewhere. A Service of Affirmation to celebrate the Concordia Prep 8th-grade class is scheduled for Friday, June 4, 2021, at 6:30 pm at Concordia Preparatory School. This Service of Affirmation honors the role that God and family have played in the physical, intellectual, emotional, social, and spiritual growth of each student.  It gives all of us an opportunity to acknowledge God’s hand in all aspects of our lives, but especially in the lives of our 8th-grade students at Concordia Prep.

All 8th-grade students should plan on attending this Service of Celebration. It is expected that the students come to school in clean, neat, and modest attire. Young ladies should wear a skirt and blouse or a dress. Young men should be in dress slacks and a shirt and tie, no jeans, polo shirts, or sneakers.  Students should plan to arrive by 6:00 pm and report to the Quad.

As a result of the Covid-19 protocols in place at Concordia Prep, each 8th grader will be allotted four guests to attend and celebrate the service of affirmation.  We plan to have an outdoor ceremony in front of the school.  If weather or cicadas disrupt our plans, we will utilize the gym.

To God Be the Glory!!!

In Him,

Curtis D. Miller
Middle School Principal
