Bio from Pastor Bednash: My wife, Brooke, and I currently live in Baltimore City with our dog Sophie. It has been a joy and blessing to serve God’s faithful as sole Pastor at Saint James Evangelical Lutheran Church.  Being originally from Cleveland, Ohio it’s not hard to miss my die-hard love for the Browns.  I look forward to meeting this year’s 8th grade class and all the Saints at CPS.

Bio from Ms. Bloom: I’m originally from Lincoln, Nebraska. I graduated from Concordia University Nebraska this past May. While attending Concordia Nebraska I studied secondary education as well as history and theology. I was also on the cheer team while I was in college. During my last two years of college I was able to coach the varsity cheer team at Lincoln Lutheran and we won two back to back state championships. I am also a huge fan of Nebraska football and volleyball… Go Big Red!

This will be my first year teaching. I did part of my student teaching here at Concordia Prep during March and April and loved every minute of it. I’m so grateful for the opportunity to be back this fall and I’m looking forward to a great first year!

Bio from Mrs. Fiore: I am from Randallstown, Maryland and graduated from Towson Catholic High School. I began teaching in South Korea at an after school English as a Second Language program. After receiving my M.A.T. I began teaching in Baltimore City Public Schools and more recently at St Paul’s School for Girls. At Baltimore City Public Schools, I taught 6th grade Ancient History of Asia and Africa; 8th grade Early US history; 9th grade Government and Modern World and US History. At St. Paul’s I taught US History, Modern World History, Latin American History and Pan-African History (History of the Atlantic World).

Bio from Emily Harding: My name is Emily Harding and I am from Wood River, NE and a recent graduate of Concordia University Nebraska where I earned a degree in Elementary/Middle Level Education with a Math concentration. While also at CUNE, I was a four-year member of the track and field team competing in the heptathlon. This will be my first year teaching where I will be specializing in middle school mathematics as well as assisting with the cross country and track and field teams!

Bio from Jacob Harding: I am from Edwardsville Illinois which is right across the river from St. Louis. I have attended Lutheran Schools all of my life and college was no different. I studied at CUNE to teach History and Theology. I enjoy weightlifting, bowling, and golfing. This is my first year teaching and I am blessed to be starting the year across from my wife’s classroom!

Bio from Jenna King: I grew up in Bel Air, MD and currently live in the Towson area.  At Towson University, I studied sports management as an undergrad and am currently midway through a master’s degree in Higher Education Leadership through the University of Tennessee at Martin where I was a graduate assistant with the football team.  This school year will be my first year teaching.  I attended St. Margaret School for grade school and graduated from Harford Technical High School.

My name is Nate Marr and I am in my first year as a teacher and football coach here at Concordia Preparatory School. I have spent the last eight years in college football. I spent two years as a student assistant football coach at West Virginia University, before transitioning to McDaniel College where I spent my final two undergraduate years as a student assistant football coach as well. I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Exercise Science & Physical Education, at which point I began a career as a college football coach as a graduate assistant coach. I spent two years as a graduate assistant football coach, graduating in 2019 with a Master of Science in Kinesiology. Upon graduation, I was promoted to a full-time position as an assistant football coach on the McDaniel College football coaching staff. I served as the Running Backs Coach, Special Teams Coach, Recruiting Coordinator, and Director of Football Operations during my time as a full-time member of the staff up through July of 2021. 

My wife Kate and I are both originally from Damascus, Maryland and we are both graduates of Damascus High School. I was a football player at Damascus High School, and my wife Kate was a soccer player. We reside in Carroll County, close to McDaniel College where we both graduated with both of our degrees. My wife was an All-Conference soccer player, team captain, and Dean’s List/President’s List student at McDaniel before accepting a coaching position with the Women’s Soccer team at our alma mater. She is currently a club soccer coach in the Carroll County community and works as an insurance agent at Frye Insurance Associates Inc. in Laytonsville, MD.
