August 19, 2020

After much discussion with members of the CPS administrative team, our COVID-19 team, and our Board of Directors, we have made the difficult decision to begin the 2020-2021 school year with Virtual School. The guiding principle in this planning process has been the health and safety of our students, families, faculty, staff, and the community at large. We plan to begin the year remotely until midterm – Friday, September 25, 2020. Early that week, we will evaluate the metrics and inform you of the decision as to whether we will remain in Virtual School or transition to our hybrid plan.

In order to prepare our students for the start of school, we have altered the first week to accommodate new students, computer* and book distribution, and to provide more details about opportunities for students to be on campus for athletic team workouts, retreats, Bible studies, and team-building activities.

* Computer distribution is for students who have indicated to Mrs. Trapani our Director of Technology that they do not have their own computer and need to borrow one from the school to be in compliance with the new BYOD device policy.
