Football is Back!

Concordia Prep School is excited to announce the return of Varsity Football with Joshua Ward as Head Coach for the 2017 – 2018 season. Coach Ward joins CPS from St. Francis High School in Baltimore, where he is currently a teacher and Assistant Football Coach/Defensive Line Coach.

A native of Baltimore, Coach Ward played football at Lycoming College under head coach Frank Girardi before transferring in 2005 to finish his collegiate career at Salisbury University. He earned his bachelor’s degree in psychology from Salisbury University in 2008.

In 2010, Coach Ward earned his Master’s degree in Physical Education while serving as a student assistant at West Virginia University. He then worked as Safeties Coach and Recruiting Coordinator at the University of Charleston, WV.

Coach Ward went on to serve as Defensive Line Coach and Academic Coordinator at Western Connecticut State University. In 2013, he was a part of the West Virginia Wesleyan College inaugural staff under head coach George Shehl. He directed the Bobcats Defensive Backs and served as Recruiting Coordinator until the spring of 2015.
